Events on Hive3 can happen in person, online through a link, or inside a shared 3D world. You find them, reserve a place, and join when it starts. If the organizer attached a credential, attending earns you the right to claim it.
Any account can attend events, including Worker Bee. Some events ask for membership of the organizer's community, a ticket, or a subscription first.
#Find an event
Select Events in the sidebar. Type in Search events..., or open the filter menu to narrow the list:
| Filter | Shows |
|---|---|
| All | Every event. |
| IRL | In-person events and events that run at a linked location, such as a video call. |
| Metaverse | Events held in a 3D world. |
| Upcoming, Live, Finished | Events by when they happen. |
A Featured Events row at the top highlights events picked by Hive3. Events you have reserved places for are also listed under My HiveEvents.
#Read an event page
Open a card to see the event's title, organizer, description and badges. A coloured badge shows its state: UPCOMING, LIVE NOW or COMPLETED. The schedule shows the start and stop time, and a Credential card appears if the organizer attached one. Within 48 hours of the start, a Starts in countdown appears above the main button.
#RSVP or apply
Open the event
You need to be signed in. If you are not, Hive3 asks you to sign in and brings you back to the event.
Select the main button
The label depends on how the organizer set up entry:
- RSVP to Event means your place is confirmed immediately.
- Apply to Event means the organizer reviews applications first.
Check your status
After an RSVP, the button reads RSVP'd. Point at it to see Cancel RSVP. After an application it reads Applied with a Cancel Application button, and the page says your application is awaiting approval from the organizer.
You are notified when you RSVP, when you apply, and when the organizer accepts or declines your application. If a decline happens, the page says Your event application was not accepted. Contact the organizer to change that decision.
#When the event asks for more
If you see a panel instead of the RSVP button, the event has an extra requirement.
| You see | What to do |
|---|---|
| This event is for (community) members with Join community or Apply to join community | Join or apply to the organizer's community first. See Discover and join communities. If you have already applied, the panel says your application is awaiting approval. |
| Access Required with Buy Ticket and/or Subscribe | Pay for access. See Tickets and subscriptions. Afterwards a You have access badge appears, and you can RSVP. |
#Join the event
What you do when it starts depends on where it is held. You must have an accepted RSVP first.
#Online or at a linked location
Once the event is live, Enter Event appears. It opens the organizer's link (a video call, a stream or a map) in a new tab and records that you attended. A toast confirms Attendance recorded. If the organizer attached a credential, it adds that you can now claim it.
#In person
Go to the place the organizer describes. For in-person events the organizer marks people as attended, and that is what makes you eligible for the credential. If the event also has a link, Enter Event works the same way as above.
#In a 3D world
For a Metaverse event, the button is a green Enter world. It appears from 15 minutes before the event starts until it ends.
Select Enter world
A new tab opens with a loading screen that shows Getting your entry pass… and the steps Entry pass, World, Graphics and Ready.
Wait for the world to load
When your pass is ready, the tab moves to the world itself.
If something stops you, the page tells you why:
| Message | What it means |
|---|---|
| This event opens 15 minutes before it starts. | You are early. Select Try entry again when the time comes. |
| This event has ended. | The world closed at the event's end time. |
| This event is for (community) members | Join or apply to the community, then return to the event. |
| You've been banned from this world. | A world moderator removed your access. |
| You are sent back to the event page with a short message | Your RSVP is missing, still awaiting approval, or the event needs a ticket or subscription. Finish that step on the event page, then select Enter world again. |
Attendance for 3D-world events is recorded inside the world, so you do not need to do anything else.
#After the event
When your attendance is recorded, you are eligible for the event's credential and receive a notification. Claim it from NotificationsClaim Credentials. See Notifications and Your credentials.
