A quest is a list of objectives set by a community, such as liking posts, finishing a course or attending an event. Hive3 tracks most objectives for you. Others ask you to submit proof, which the community reviews. Finishing every objective earns the quest's credential, if it has one.
Any account can join quests, including Worker Bee. Some quests ask you to subscribe or buy a ticket first.
#Find a quest
Select Quests in the sidebar. Type in Search quests... or filter by All, Active, Scheduled, Ended or Completed. A Featured Quests row highlights quests picked by Hive3. Quests you have joined also appear under My HiveQuests.
#Join a quest
Open a quest to see its description, start and end times, objectives and credential. The main button depends on the quest's state.
| Button | When you see it |
|---|---|
| Begin Quest | The quest is active and you are not in it yet. |
| Enroll before start | The quest is scheduled for later. You can then use Cancel enrollment until it starts. |
| Quest ended | The quest is over and closed to new people. |
Under the button, a hint explains what happens next. Open quests say You will be enrolled instantly when you begin. Quests with approval say Enrollment requests require approval from the organizer. After you apply, the hint reads Waiting for organizer approval. and you see Application submitted. Quest starts after approval. If the organizer declines, it reads Your enrollment request was not approved.
When a scheduled quest is within 12 hours of starting, a countdown appears.
If a ticket or subscription is required, an Access Required panel shows Buy Ticket and Subscribe first. See Tickets and subscriptions.
#Complete the objectives
Once you are in, Quest Progress shows how many objectives you have completed. Select an objective to see its details, a progress bar and a count such as 2 / 5.
#Objectives Hive3 tracks for you
These count automatically as you use Hive3.
| Objective | What counts |
|---|---|
| Like posts, Comment on posts | Likes and comments you make in the quest's scope. |
| Receive likes | Likes your posts get. |
| Send chat messages | Messages you send in the community's chat. |
| Complete courses, Make progress on a course | Finishing a course, or reaching a milestone in it. |
| Attend virtual events, Attend metaverse events | Events you attend in the quest's scope. |
| Apply for jobs | Applications you submit to jobs in the scope. |
An objective's scope appears as cards on the objective: Owner account means it counts only for the quest's organizer, and Account means it counts for a specific account. Some objectives are streaks, where you must hit a target in several intervals in a row. They show a line such as Streak: 2 / 5 consecutive days and the next deadline.
#Custom tasks
A Custom task needs proof that the organizer reviews.
Open the task
Select the objective. Under Evidence, the quest explains what a good answer looks like and when it counts as complete.
Add your evidence
The form depends on what the organizer asked for:
- A written answer: type in the box that reads Describe how you completed this objective.
- A link: paste a URL into Evidence URL.
- A file: select Upload Document and choose one file (PDF, Word, text or an image).
Submit
Select Submit Evidence.
Wait for review
Each submission shows as pending, approved or denied. Select Show submission history to see them all. You can keep submitting while one is pending.
You get a notification when the organizer approves or denies your evidence. If one is denied, you can submit again. When all your evidence slots are in use, the form hides until a submission is denied.
#Claim your reward
When every objective is complete, the quest page shows Quest completed. If the quest has a credential, you can claim it.
- If you have a default wallet, the message says You can claim your credential from Notifications. Select Claim.
- If you do not, it says Set a default wallet in Wallets to claim your credential. Select Set default wallet.
See Notifications and Wallets.
