Read and watch content

Browse articles, videos and tutorials, and see how member-only content is unlocked.

The Content directory collects the articles, videos and tutorials that communities and creators publish. Reading and watching happens inside Hive3, with no extra app.

Anyone can browse the directory, including signed-out visitors. Some pieces are limited to a community's members or subscribers.

#Find content

Select Content in the sidebar. Type in Search content... to search, or open the filter button and choose a type:

TypeWhat it is
AllEvery article, video and tutorial.
ArticleWritten pieces.
VideoPieces built around a video.
TutorialStep-by-step guides.

The type you chose shows as an Active filter badge; select its X to go back to all content. Content from communities you have joined also appears on their account pages under the Content tab.

Filter the Content directory by article, video or tutorial.

#Read an article or tutorial

Select a card to open it. The page shows a type badge, the title and subtitle, the author and date (select the author to open their account), and any badges or tags. The body below is either formatted text or, when the author attached one, a PDF in a built-in viewer.

At the bottom, Related Articles or More Tutorials suggests more of the same type. Select the back button, Back to Content, to return to the directory.

#Watch a video

A video piece shows its player at the top of the page. Select play to watch it inside Hive3. The author, badges and tags sit below the player, with a Videos row of more videos at the bottom.

#Member-only content

When the author limits a piece, you see a lock over the player or the text instead of the content. The message tells you what is needed:
