You create a Hive3 account the first time you sign in. There is no separate sign-up form: pick a sign-in method, then complete a short profile and you are in.
#Choose a sign-in method
Go to app.hive3.tech and select Sign In. The sign-in page, titled Sign in to Hive3, offers these options.
| Method | How it works |
|---|---|
| Email magic link | Enter your email address and select Submit. Hive3 emails you a link; open it to sign in. No password is needed. |
| Google, GitHub, X, Discord | Approve Hive3 on the provider's own page and you return signed in. |
| Connect Wallet | Choose a wallet in the connection window, then approve the sign-in message in your wallet. |
| Sign in with passkey | Use a passkey you added earlier. This is for returning to an account, not for creating one. |
Apple and LinkedIn are shown on the page with a Coming soon label and cannot be used yet.
#Sign in with an email magic link
Enter your email
Type your address into the Enter email address field. The Submit button appears once the address contains an @.
Check your inbox
Hive3 shows Check your email. If you typed the wrong address, select Change email.
Open the link
Open the email and select the link. It signs you in and takes you to Hive3.
#Add a passkey for later
Sign in with passkey only works once a passkey has been added to your account. After your first sign-in, add one under SettingsAccount. A wallet passkey created for your Hive3 wallet cannot be used to sign in.
#Complete your profile
The first time you sign in, Hive3 opens Create your profile. Everything on this page can be changed later.
Add a banner and photo (optional)
Select Click to upload banner for a wide banner image (1500 × 500 px works best) and choose a square profile photo (400 × 400 px).
Enter your display name
Display name is required. It is the name people see on your profile and posts.
Check your handle
Hive3 picks a Handle for you. Keep it or type another one. It needs at least three characters and must be available; a green check confirms it. Your handle is how people find and mention you.
Add a referral code (optional)
If someone invited you, enter their code in Referral code. See Referrals.
Select Enter Hive
Enter Hive becomes available once your display name and handle are valid. Hive3 saves your profile and sends you to the page you were heading to.
#After you sign in
- Privacy choices. On a browser that has not been asked before, Hive3 shows Your privacy choices. Select Reject non-essential, Manage choices or Accept all. Necessary storage for signing in always stays on.
- Terms. If you need to agree to the current Terms and Conditions or Acceptable Use Policy, Hive3 asks separately after you sign in.
- Email. A banner may ask you to Verify email, or to Add email if you signed in without one. A verified email lets you always sign in with it. Select Not now to hide the banner for a while.
- Suggested next steps. Hive3 may suggest completing your profile, finding a community to join or browsing events. Each suggestion can be dismissed.
#Use more than one account
You can link up to 10 Hive3 accounts to the same browser and move between them. See Find your way around.
